uk release 2 track vinyl 7" in pic sleeve
Sleeve withdrawn shortly after release (changed to plain red sleeve with black text).
Withdrawn live sleeve.
It was always falsely reported that this sleeve was withdrawn at the request of Brian May, however it turns out not to be the case!
Brian stated on his own website in early 2007 in response to a letter asking why he requested the withdrawal of this sleeve that in fact he didn't request the sleeve be withdrawn - he actually preferred it but the record company felt that the sleeve was misleading and that the public would believe the song to be a live recording so the sleeve was withdrawn at the request of EMI.
Woolworths failed to receive the recall notice and they continued to sell the withdrawn sleeve for up to 5 days before their stocks ran out.
please note - wear/creases/marks where price sticker was to sleeve/edges (see pics) & surface marks on vinyl but good - please only buy if you are happy with this
although the vinyl is marked and the sleeve is worn/creased this is a fantastic item for a Queen collector as it is the withdrawn uk sleeve from 1984 and now hard to find.
