Queen - A Night at the Opera French 12" Album / LP - White Vinyl - Gatefold Sleeve - 1978 from the Disque En Couleur Series - EMI DC 10 - France
As a member of the Queen International Fan Club it was possible to send them items to hopefully get Queen to autograph them. Having sent off this record cover it was returned to me after a few months with 3 signatures. The QIFC stated. Freddie Mercury had not signed as he was rarely in the country and so was unlikely to sign and they coudn't keep all items sent by fans indefinitely.
Since the first auction, it has come to my attention that it seemed to be common practice for fan club staff to sign items on behalf of the band and send them out. So although the 3 signatures appear to be of Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon, they may be real, or fake, i don't know.
The previous buyer had the signatures authenticated by autograph expert Roger Epperson. The results came back that in his opinion he stated, "Brian's looks genuine but not Roger and John's" in view of this the item was returned to me.
I have provided all the infomation i can and selling on the premise that the signature's could be real or fake If in doubt don't bid or only on the vinyl. SOLD AS SEEN. . Thankyou
The cover is physically ok with little creasing / wear / some spine flattening However it is fairly discoloured with browning / age spots Hence grading = Good Vinyl is visually OK but plays with some crackling (only played start) Hence grading = VG Has a generic factory inner sleeve
Will include an inner sleeve i have spare from the EMTC 103 release
