Description
QUEEN “Somebody To Love”
RARE 10” ACETATE
ARTIST: Queen
TITLE: “Somebody To Love” (7” Mono version) Very rare acetate of one of Queen’s biggest singles. Cut by Elektra Records in the U.S.
DATE: October, 1976
SPEED: 45 rpm
SIZE: 10” disc
CONDITION: Used but cared for and well preserved. These acetates have been in my personal collection as original owner since they were issued. This record is in its original generic paper sleeve.
NOTES:
Acetates are extra heavy discs, with the center of the record containing a layer made of metal, usually aluminum. These records are the first versions made from the master tapes (prior to test pressings or promo copies and are usually superior sounding) for the purpose of comment on the mix by the artist and producer. Sometimes the mixes can be slightly different or contain a different mix or edit from the final release. These were never meant to be available to the public. They were expensive to make so very few, if any, were made, making them very RARE and collectible.
*Please note that if you are an overseas bidder, you will be required to either pay for shipping that allows for tracking and proof of delivery or agree that I cannot be held responsible for packages that do not arrive. I will keep my stamped copy of the customs form as proof that the package was shipped.
**I have received quite a few requests for Buy It Now, but to be fair to everyone who has inquired, I will be leaving this as a regular auction. Thank you!
**I inadvertently referred to this as an edit in the description, which was incorrect. The label simply states that this is a 7" Mono version. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.**
