The strange effect in the four wind directions on the scans of the sides 1 is naturally not on the discs themselves, but caused by the scanner that clearly has problems with the complex structure of the image.
Pirate versions of this disc have appeared on the market in 1994 and later, but it's not so difficult to distinguish the original version from the pirate ones.
Only the version with the white bikers seems to have been copied, so each version with the black bikers should be original.
The matrix and catalogue number of the original disc should be 61620 – A 6E – 166 - A M6 325533 I, 61620 – B 6E – 166 – B M6 325534 I and PM 900 Pic 3, the pirate versions (both the first from the U.K. and the second one, probably from Germany) have a matrix number of PIC 3 7462102.
Another point of distinction is the width of the blue border on the front sleeve, on the original sleeve the width is just about 4 mm and on the left side the edge is flattened making the circle not completely round. On the pirate copies the blue border is about 9 mm wide, is coloured darker blue and is completely round.
Considering the huge difference in value between the original and the pirate copies it's very important to watch out here!
Also some other pirate copies have been released that are more easily to distinguish as such since they are not identical at all to the original copy.
There are issues known with side 1 on both sides and also with side 2 on both sides; furthermore there also are copies with one of both sides in white vinyl or even both sides.
