QUEEN AT THE BEEB - WHITE LABEL TEST PRESSING

If you are a serious collector, then this is an item not to be missed.

Queen at the Beeb was released on 14th December 1989 on the Band of Joy record label (BOJLP001) by arrangement with BBC Records & EMI records. It is an 8 track album featuring songs recorded live on two separate occasions in February and December 1973 at the BBC for the John Peel programme "Sounds of the 70s".

Queen at the beeb is now rare in itself but what you are looking at is much rarer. Please see photos.

No 1 in the main photo: A cardboard mock-up of the picture sleeve. This is in very good condition with just a couple of very small grease marks on Freddie's arm (only visible if held in a certain light);

No 2 in the main photo: A mock-up of the text which appears on the reverse of the sleeve, printed on a separate sheet of paper. The condition is very good with only very slight brown ageing around one or two of the outer edges. No creases or tears however;

No 3 in the main photo: A 12" white label test pressing of the album with BOJLP 001 A-1 etched just below the white label on one side, and BOJLP 001 B-1 etched in the same place on the other side. The condition of the vinyl is very good with only one minor scuff mark;

No 4 in the main photo: The original letter from Band of Joy Music Ltd detailing the release of the album, including catalogue numbers, track listings, recording dates, running times, retail prices and formats. The letterhead is RAW Fruit records in red, and the footer is Band of Joy Music Ltd with their address, contact numbers, directors etc.

No 5 in the photo: A stunning photographic proof of the sleeve front printed on high quality Fujichrome photographic paper, and measuring the same size as the sleeve cover. Note that different colours have been used for the Queen logo and album title, as compared with the sleeve itself.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a desirable group of items which are both interesting as well as historic. They have been a part of my private collection for the best part of 17 years.
