Rare OOP Hardcore Punk LP from 1984!

"LIFE IS A JOKE VOL. 1" (Weird System/W. Germany)

Featuring international HC/Punk bands like Razzia (W. Germany), Terveet Kädet (Finland), Inocentes (Brazil), Riot Squad S.A. (South Africa), and more! Each bands gets two tracks, and as you can see from the photo it comes in a printed inner sleeve, on really cool splattered color vinyl! Back in the day, Maximum Rock'n'Roll had this to say about this record:

Not one of the New Underground series, but a new international compilation on Germany's Weird System label. It contains two cuts each by Razzia, Fang, Terveet Kädet, Riot Squad (South Africa), Savage Circle (Italy), Sh*t SA (Spain), the Inocentes, Hysteria (UK), and Civil Dissident (Australia). The latter offers the most pleasant surprise--they're a brutal thrash outfit--but the whole record smokes.
-Jeff Bale (from Maximum Rocknroll #15, July 1984)

LOOOONG out of print, and I've never seen another copy in my 10+ years on E-bay, so I don't think it's hyperbole to say that this might be your ONLY chance to get this incredibly rare piece of 1980s HC history at a decent price. No reserve and a very reasonable opening bid, so bid early and often.

Condition: Vinyl and sleeve are both visually graded at VG+. I have owned this record for about 10 years now and kept it in very good condition, though it did have a bit of wear when I got it. I would say it's basically in the same condition as when I got it, because I've only played it a few times since then to tape it.

TERMS OF SALE (You are agreeing to these by bidding; if you cannot agree, PLEASE DO NOT BID): Payment via Paypal is due within three (3) days of end auction - NO EXCEPTIONS. I am only selling records to pay off student loans, so I can't afford to give anybody any slack. Shipping price quoted above is for Media Mail within the USA. If you require some other shipping method (or additional services, such as insurance, tracking, etc.), they will be provided to you at cost if you request them. OVERSEAS BIDDERS: PLEASE WAIT FOR AN INVOICE FROM ME -- DO NOT PAY THE AUTOMATED INVOICE FROM E-BAY, WHICH WILL NOT HAVE THE CORRECT TOTAL. $4 IS NOT CORRECT FOR YOU. Your item will be shipped with four (4) business days of receiving payment. Negative feedback is left for bidders who do not bother to read these instructions, so please make sure you understand what is written here before you bid.

Check out my other items! More rare punk/HC from the golden years is up for sale now, in addition to other genres (world music, jazz, noise, etc). You never know what you might find...
