Description

PUBLIC IMAGE METAL BOX - in 1979, from the ashes of the Sex Pistols, John Lydon ditched his aka Johnny Rotten Punk persona to collaborate with Keith Levene, Jah Wobble, Dave Crowe and Jeanette Lee to form PIL. Sampling Swan Lake (!) for 'Death Disco', experimenting with vivid tribal rythms and exploring weird sounds and instruments (the clashing dustbin lids used by communities in Northern Ireland to warn of impending British Army patrols are lifted and feature in the magnificent 'Careering'). The result is a stunning and original groundbreaking musical statement - even the format and packaging was truly original. To this day, these discs are sampled and manipulated by DJs both here and even Ibiza!

You are bidding on: Metal Box case - no dents or crushes, usual oxidisation of outer surface normal  with this edition. METAL 1 on base is perfect. 3x 45 rpm discs (Metal 1.1 to 1.6) are excellent and scratch free - I have owned this from brand new and only played the discs once or so to tape them! 3x paper inserts still in place, as is the original track listing sheet in original red ink print. Item will be well package to defeat the Royal Mail. UK P&P @ £5.50 includes 'Signed For' from postman. Overseas ask for quote.
