Description
Malcolm Frager - Prokofieff CONCERTO No.2 - Rca LSC-2465 - SD 1s/1s - TAS
Long recognized on the TAS list for its performance and audio excellence, this original shaded-dog Living Stereo release was recorded under the producing auspices of Charles Gerhardt and is a capturing of Frager's award winning performance at Brussels. Fact is, it was the very first time he was ever recorded at all.
At the time, Harold Schonberg of the New York Times, recognized the performance as "…marvelously poetic…striking in its insight."
Extremely rare, this indeed is the first stamper of that release, in excellent condition, cover simply yellowed with age, record within near mint.
Not only a prize in the early Living Stereo catalog of vinyl, more a treasure, the value of which will be priceless in the future.
