Prince - For You (198?, Warner Bros., Aus)
Excellent 80s reissue. Possibly the first Australian pressing, but I can't be certain.
Matrix Side A: ? MX209381 BSK 3150-1 Matrix Side B: ? MX209382 BSK 3150-2
Vinyl Grade - VG+
Several hairline marks but nothing significant. There is a light scratch that travels around half of Side 1, but is not audible. The record has been cleaned (see below).
Sleeve Grade - VG
Light to medium ring wear. Clean spine. Some edge wear. Strong VG (see photos).
Play Grade - VG+*
Very faint crackle throughout but not overpowering and mostly covered by the music. No skips or jumps. Remarkably quiet overall.
Specific issues:
Track A4 - Medium pop right channel at end of track Track B4 - Some intermittent IGD from 1.30 onwards - specifically the higher frequencies - more prominent between 4.00 and 4.30 with the wailing guitar.
Sounds better than most new vinyl.
Other Grades
Printed insert in G+/VG condition. Significant age spots have developed over the years. Some age staining on labels. See photos.
All records have been cleaned using a vacuum-based record cleaner (KAB EV-1 RECORD CLEANER)
* A note about play grading:
I play grade through headphones and make note of any obvious ticks / pops / distortion / sibilance / IGD that can be heard above general background crackle. My setup: Pro-ject Mk II Xpression III turntable fitted with an Ortofon 2M Bronze cartridge, through to a Vincent Pho-8 Phono Pre-amplifier, on to a Cambridge Audio 651A Stereo Amplifier and finally out to a pair of Grado sr225i headphones.

Recycled LP mailers are used for postage, with bubble wrap for extra protection. I will combine postage - just ask.
