Description
You are bidding on a 1968 first press UK edition of the Pretty Things psychedelic masterpiece 'S.F Sorrow'.
Mono edition on blue/black Columbia label SX 6306.
This is an extremely rare LP especially this edition and especially in this condition.
The record itself displays very little reduction in sound quality, there are a few very minor hairline/surface marks though the only point at which this is noticeable is between tracks 3 and 4 on side 1 where there are a couple of light clicks.
The vinyl has retained its sheen and is in beautiful condition.
The labels are free from any writing or tears and display very little wear.
Label states as follows
'Sold in the UK subject to resale price conditions, See price Lists'
(XAX.3738) on side 1 (XAX.3739) on side 2
'Made in Gt Britain '
run-off groves read XAX 3738 - 1 on side 1, XAX 3739 - 1 on side 2 - there is also a '2' at about the 2 o'clock point of side 1 with a '3' in the same place on side 2 - (am unsure as to what this means but have included it just in case).
Record is graded as Excellent.
The sleeve has some yellowing on the front sleeve which should be clear in the pictures, there are a few minor creases to the spine (which reads 'Pretty Things - S.F. Sorrow') and edges .
Laminated back and front printed by Ernest J. Day & Co Ltd London.Inner gatefold shows very little wear - stunning colours.
Sleeve Graded as VG mainly due to the discolouring mentioned above.
This is as good an example of this record as you are ever likely to find, such is the scarcity these days - the audio is just outstanding!.
