(Harvest SHVL 774 1970 LP)
Original 1970 issue of the Pretty Things finest LP in very decent condition.
Sleeve – EX Laminated thick card gatefold in strong EX condition (with the exception of the spine – more of which later). The front and rear sleeves are both fully laminated and both are very clean with no damage or wear other than a few very minor little lamination creases, no tears anywhere or ink marks. Inside the gatefold is pretty much perfect, no damage or wear of any type. The top seam is totally unworn. The bottom seam has a little shelf wear but nothing really serious.
The spine is actually in good condition but at some point it’s been exposed to a bright light for a long time, this has discoloured it quite seriously. As it happens there’s no writing on the spine so that’s not a problem but it should be the same colour as the rest of the sleeve and it’s noticeably faded, if you look closely at the photo of the front sleeve you may be able to discern a line of lighter colour down the left hand side which is where the fading starts.
The two labels are in excellent condition with no wear or damage of any type.
Record - EX The disc is in nice clean condition. Visually there are some very light hairline mark to be seen, and more are revealed when held under a very harsh lamp but these have no effect on the sound quality. When played the sound is clean and clear with only a few little crackles between tracks noticeable, no heavy pops or clicks, no distortion, certainly no jumping or sticking, just a good enjoyable copy of a great LP.
