Highly Collectable RARE "MONO” Label
LPM-1951
“Elvis’ Christmas Album”
This record was AUDIO TESTED & PLAYS ==> NEAR MINT Sound Quality!
~ Excellent (EX) to NEAR MINT. Excellent condition overall. See pictures.
~ This is the rarest issue of this album. This label is black and has "MONO" printed at the bottom which I understand was only produced for one year making it the rarest and most collectible because so few were made. The label with "Monaural" is more common but it is valued less by collectors than the "MONO".
~ I listened to the entire record to check for sound quality. The record plays excellent on both sides with no skips, and no noticeable pops, or clicks. Very few visual imperfections on the vinyl surface. It is shiny and very clean. It appears to have not been played much and has been well cared for.
~ Both the front and back of original cardboard jacket/cover have virtually no wear (no record rings) and are in excellent condition. There is very minor shelf wear on the edges and at corners, see photos. No splits in the cardboard jacket. The inner paper sleeve which appears to be the original one, is in excellent shape except for a bit of yellowing.
~ An interesting thing I noticed when playing the record: On Side One, Elvis sings all the songs in a “blues style”. On Side Two, he sings all the songs in traditional style.
~ This record was tested using a Bang & Olufsen Beogram RX2 turntable with a MMC-4 cartridge tracking at 0.5 grams.
~ I will combine shipping on records of like size at 50 cents extra per each additional 45 rpm and $1.00 for each additional LP record.
Special Note: Unless otherwise stated, I take the time to AUDIO TEST by actually listening to each record all the way through, as well as visually inspect them.
Most other records listed on eBay are only visually inspected which does not accurately reflect how they might sound. I try to describe each record as accurately as possible to assure you get what you expect. Please keep this in mind when deciding to make a purchase.
Because I take the time and make the extra effort to do this, at times my price may be a little higher than others, however my description will be more informative and helpful to the buyer. I try to offer better than average and even collector quality vinyl when possible.
