Pre-Dog Eldridge Johnson Victor Monarch Record - Coon

      Another of my pre-dog, Eldridge Johnson Victor Monarch records conjures up a lot of historic fascination coupled with a fair amount of social embarassment.  Pictired is "A Big Fat Coon" by Silas Leachman.  It is record number 788.  I'm sure you can guess as to its content.  And yes, it makes liberal use of the n-word.  Phylically its in pretty good shape.  No cracks, chips, gouged grooves etc.  There is some small dimpling but it doesn't seem to show up in play.  The record is worn with even surface noise.  More pronounced at the beginning but then it tones down.  The noise is not so loud that you cannot make out whats being sung about.  It would probably play better with a heavier, acoustic reproducer than the lightweight electric repro I used to try it out.  I'd say that noise is consistent more or less with its age and composition.  The label is well worn as you can see.  This record has not been cleaned.  I'm listing 5 of these Johnson Monarchs tonight.  If you win more than one I'll combine wins to save shipping.  But please, don't pay for them until you get a new total from me.  Reasonable enough?  Thanks for stopping in! 

      A word about my lack of feedback.  I've been a member of eBay for almost 12 years.  However, I haven't sold anything in the last couple.  In that time, eBay revised their feedback policy to, in my mind, the detriment of both buyers and sellers.  I for one no longer believe that a buyers feedback can be counted on as sellers can only leave positive feedback.  Sellers too are at a disadvantage since buyer feedback can be used to hold them "hostage".  I worked long and hard to maintain a perfect feedback record over the years and I have no interest in seeing it being artificially altered.  To that end, I established this new seller I.D. to use for my resumed sales activity.  If you wish to check my true feedback, go to the site map, click view a members feedback and then type in:  lietz.  If you go back a couple of years you will see lots of very happy buyers I've dealt with. 
     Also, used to be I always charged actual shipping costs only.  There was never a "packing" or "handling" fee.  However, with the creation of eBay Buyer Protection (which I thing is a good thing) sellers have had to take some actions to protect themselves.  To that end, I will be adding the cost of "Delivery Confirmation" to any sale shipped via U.S.P.S.  This protects me if a shipment is uninsured and allows the buyer to track the shipment if they so wish.  Lastly, some shipments that are very fragile will have mandatory insurance added, at actual cost.  Thanks for your understanding.
