Interesting album featuring Tony Colton, Ray Smith and Albert Lee before they morphed into Head Hands and Feet.

The line up also includes Pat Donaldson and Jerry Donahue before they became part of Fotheringay. Strangely Jerry Donahue duties don't include playing his Telecaster. Still with Albert Lee to hand .....

As for Nicky Hopkins the list of bands he brought his talent to is astonishing. The Kinks, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Jefferson Airplane, Cuddly Toy, Fondue Set, Sliding doors... No I made the last three up. My mind drifted to some quiz show on TV where contestants could keep all the items they had viewed on a conveyor belt.

Eddie Offord was probably the engineer for the sessions at Advision as he was something of the house producer there. His name pops up on numerous albums by the likes of Yes and ELP.

The front of the sleeve is an image of earth photographed from the moon by one of the Apollo astronauts. This sleeve is laminated and has a few lines where the laminate (? Clearfoil?) has creased.. The bottom right corner is a bit dog eared. This is a fold back sleeve printed by Garrod & Lofthouse. It's all free from biro marks, names or dedications. A photograph of the back is included.

The inner sleeve is plain white and in excellent condition.

The record itself is in very good condition*. There is a large light mark on side 2 which crosses most of the first 2 tracks. I've listened carefully and cannot detect that this has any impact on the sound quality. I've included a photograph to highlight this blemish.

You should check out the quality on the attached eCommerce Player. (In fact my request/demand is that you listen before placing any bid.) You would know it was vinyl but I guess that's what you are seeking.

(This album recorded on my Rega 3 turntable using “Audacity”, exported as a 128 kbps MP3 file and uploaded into eCommerce Player. No editing whatsoever and with the lead in and lead outs as they happened.)

Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
