Description

Playland is an National Historic Landmark  amusement park located in Rye, New York. Built in 1928, the 280-acre park is home to the "Grand Carousel" ,a 1915 Mangels-Carmel carousel,1927 "Derby Racer" ," Playland YO-YO ", " DOUBLE SHOT " drop tower, "the whip "  & other popular rides & amusement attractions.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        This VERY RARE six inch souvenir Voice-O-Graph Recording has the following printed label description: " CASINO GAME ROOM - PLAYLAND, RYE, N.Y. ". It appears to be from the 1940/50's period. The contents of this recording has not been played. The winner of this auction will be the first to hear the recording in many years. Couple of light scratches.
