Description

A 1st issue of the WALL on the UK Harvest label in 1979. Matrix A4/B2/A4/B3. 'TML-M/X'. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Please note the original 1st issue cover is easily identified by the absence of the band members names in the brick directly above the 'baby in the cell'. All later reissues mention the band members names in purple in this brick. Also included are the original thick-card round cornered inner sleeves with notches at the top
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In absolutely superb condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of lights marks, but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. If you are someone who is fussy about audio do seriously consider this LP. THE WALL is full of what is often very low-key audio and many copies suffer some sort of interference which can be off-putting with this title. We only detected a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments - and that really is all. THE WALL remains a classic album and the audio on offer here will knock the socks off of anything you've heard before.
Cover (Ex-) In very nice shape and someone has clearly looked after it down the years. Often found with a great deal of fading this example has pretty much escaped it. Front and back are in great condition with just light handling wear in the odd place. The interior is pretty much immaculate. Edge wear is light and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A really very nice example
Inners (Vg+) Very nice condition. A couple of bottom edge seam splits. No nasty marks or creases.
