Description

An original 1st issue of THE WALL on the UK Harvest label from 1979. Matrix A4-B3/A3-B2. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in a true and genuine 1st issue cover. Note how in the interior on the right hand panel, and directly above the 'baby in the cell' - there are NO band names in purple. All copies from 2nd issue would have exhibited these names in purple - every single copy. Also included is the original Floyd sticker on the front. And then there are both the original heavy-card round cornered inner sleeves. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. This is particularly important on the WALL as a lot of the audio is low-key. A very nice clean player with little to complain at. Interference is, thankfully, very minor and infrequent. All I could detect were a few low-level static crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side - i.e. precious little in the grand scheme of things. The only deviation is a couple of ticks in "Hey You". A super rendition and much cleaner than the majority of copies that surface.
Cover (Ex) In lovely condition and has clearly been looked after. Front and back seem to have mostly avoided the ageing process, but there's a touch just visible up and down the opening edge. The interior looks great too - no issues at all. Edge wear is very limited and the openings still sharp. Overall the cover sits totally flat and retains perfect rigidity. 
 Inner (Ex) Relatively clean and no splits.
