Description
On offer here is a great copy of The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn by Pink Floyd, released on the Black and Silver Columbia label in 1970, catalogue number SCX 6157.
This is the second pressing of this Iconic album, the original was released on the Blue Black Columbia label in 1967, this repressing was released in 1970.
The front laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition, with some very light brown spots on the back.
I have played the vinyl at high volume all the way through on my high end system and can confirm that the vinyl sonically is in Excellent to Excellent Plus condition, there are two short light hairlines on Side One which do not sound and do not affect play.
Please note I use the Record Collector system of grading the sleeve and the vinyl.
This copy comes with the original paper promo inner of the time, reminding you that “Emitex” cleans and preserves your records ! It advertises other EMI releases ( including this one) but also The Scaffold, Lulu and The Beatles among others. This inner is Unsplit and in Excellent condition.
This is a great second pressing of this incredible album, which is now probably more difficult to find that the first press, and one that deserves pride of place in any record collection.
The record will be sent outside of it’s cover sandwiched between two 12”stiffeners in a heavy duty record mailer made by Covers 33, as used by Mail Order Record companies.
