Pink Floyd Relics LP UK 1st Press "Gramophone" [Ex/Ex] - Complete

Description

An original 1st press of Relics on the UK Starline label from '71. Matrix A1/B2 - very 1st cut. Stampers 1-OP/2-TD. Please note the label perimeter text still mentions "Gramophone" and this singles this copy out as a 1st issue. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue heavy-textured cover printed by Garrod & Lofthouse with pinched spine. The very 1st covers also have the album and band title printed on the spine and top-edge  [like this example]. Also included is the original Starline advertising inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a few light superficial marks either side - nothing troublesome or heavy though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Good clean audio throughout with little to complain at. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All I could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. A very solid and impressive rendition.
Cover (Ex) Has been looked after down the years and remains in very decent condition. Most importantly it appears to have avoided the usual ageing process which afflicts many examples. I can only make out the very lightest handling front and back. Edge wear is relatively light for this title too. The spine looks fine with all text still legible. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Lightly aged. Only a 1c.m. edge split.
