Original very early 1st pressing factory sealed copy of Pink Floyd's six studio album released in the US in October, 1971. At first glance, the 1st print cover of this album isn't different from the reissue of 1975~79, until you put the covers of all of the three pressings next to each other. The 1st print cover of this album, just like this copy, has a balanced color saturation and contrast, unlike, the cover of the 1975 issue, which has a distinct red tint. The cover of the 1979 repressing is also different from the 1st print cover as it has pale colors and low contrast that led to the partial loss of some of the cover's design elements, including the sound waves on the ear (Please see the last photo with the comparison of all three variations). The front cover contains a gold-foil "Factory Sealed For Your Protection" late 60s style sticker affixed on the top of another sticker, most likely a record store price sticker. The fully intact shrink wrap contains the original breathe holes and doesn't have any splits, tears or missing pieces. The catalog number SMAS-832 is located on the spine and the lower right-hand corner of the front cover. I'm almost confident that inside you'll find the yellow-green Harvest Records labels with the rim text "Mfd. by Capitol Records, Inc..." starting at 8 o'clock as oppose to 10 o'clock as seen on the reissue. This copy is coming from a private collection of Pink Floyd, which we've acquired recently and will be listing soon. The collection includes not only the original Pink Floyd albums, but also promotional materials. Along with Pink Floyd Meddle, you can also find a sealed "Demonstration Not For Sale" promotional copy of The Wall that comes with an original sealed concert booklet listed at the current auction.
