Description

"The Holy Grail of Floyd Boots!"

This is an example of the rare 'M-502' bootleg album of Pink Floyds 1971 Hamburg concert. It features two vinyl discs, each with blank, black labels on each side. The only identification is the pressing matrix number which appears in the run-off groove area.

This is a highly-collectable rarity from a classic point in Pink Floyds development. The concert took place at the Grosser Hall, Musikhalle, Hamburg, Germany on 25th February 1971. The tracks listed are

Disc 1, side 1
  • Green is the colour
  • Careful with that axe, Eugene
  • Cymbaline #1
  • More theme
  • 84
  • Cymbaline #2
Disc 1, side 2
  • Embryo
  • Set the controls for the heart of the sun
Disc 2, side 1
  • A saucer full of secrets
Disc 2, side 2
  • Atom Heart Mother

The records themselve are in very good condition, with only a few of light marks visible.

The plain inner sleeves have been written on by a previous owner, listing the track running order and timings.

The outer cover is not orginal and is in faily poor condition: it is hand-made by a previous owner featuring a newspaper cuttings for images and the handwritten title 'Embryo' 'Pink Floyd, Live'. When released, the album featured a fairly controversial cover - I've added a picture of that as part of the package.

If I've missed any details, or you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

If posted, the items will be well-packed. I've quoted a price for UK second-class parcel post delivery. It the buyer requires any other service, or insurance, then we will settle that at the end of the auction.
