Description

This is an original, near mint condition promotional 2 LP Pink Floyd "An Insight Into Pink Floyd". This Interview radio special was issued by Columbia Records and was manufactured by CBS Records Canada in 1987. It was distributed to radio stations, the music press and music industry V.I.P.s. It was never made available to the general public. It comes in a gatefold sleeve that is in excellent condition. There is a small 1/2" split seam in the center bottom of the jacket. This does not take away from the over all appearance of the jacket. The inside panels of the jacket has the cues for both the David Gilmour and Nick Mason interview clips. The labels on the interview LP are standard red Columbia with "On Air Use Only Not For Sale" printed on it. The second LP, "A Momentary Lapse Of Reason" has custom Pink Floyd labels. The album features interviews clips with David Gilmour and Nick Mason discussing the "A Momentary Lapse Of Reason" album, Band Members, Touring, The Early Days Of Pink Floyd and much more. This interview record was pressed in limited numbers for the Canadian market, making it a very collectable piece. It has had one owner, a former record company executive who has had it filed away since 1987.
