Description
Here it is! The Original English first pressing of Pink Floyd's masterpiece , Dark Side of the Moon.
The solid blue traingle denotes an original first pressing. Harvest SHVL 804 in the matt black Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd Sleeve, no text other than the coloured prisim.
Original black inner sleeve with white lettering and two posters with the white borders.
Given the desirabilty of these first pressings I will provide as much detail as I can and I am happy to respond to any other questions that I do not cover.
The cover has no splits and no writing. It does have edgewear. The front cover has some rubbing but otherwise looks VG+. The spine has two nicks as per the photos. Rear cover has more noticeble ringwear and rubbing. The inside of the gatefold cover is very nice indeed, no rubbing or damage. All lyrics are clearly visible as is the blue printed EMI Records Middlesex England etc.
The vinyl has retained a bright gloss and looks great in daylight but under haologen lights there a number of scuff marks. I have played the LP through with a sensitive Ortofon cartridge and Wharfdale speakers. There is some light crackle in the lead in and the quieter parts of some tracks but overall it still displays a full rich sound. In the last 30 seconds of Brain Damage on Side two there was one very minor skip(within the the track ) but other than that it tracks through beautifully.
Both Solid Blue Labels are clean, free of writing and no damage. Very nice.
Original matt black " Made in Great Britain" inner sleeve is intact and clean. No tears, no writing.
Both posters are crsip and clean. Mint.
Item will be very well packed and Registered Mail inclusive of insurance is required.
I will refund the purchase price if the winning bidder is in anyway disappointed and wants to return this LP as I would be happy to keep it.
Good luck!
