Original & complete 1st UK press of Pink Floyd - The Dark Side if the Moon LP from March, 1973. Solid blue 1st press labels. 1st press 'midnight blue’ tint sleeve. This sleeve also has the round purple title sticker on the front which is the 1st version 68mm larger sticker. The set is complete with all inserts - both posters, both postcard stickers and original black poly-lined inner sleeve. The posters are the rarer 1st version Light matte-finish, much less common than the later gloss issues. The two postcard stickers are 1st version ‘crackback’ issues and the black die-cut inner has 2 patent numbers and “MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN” printed on as-per 1st press sets. All parts are original.

Superb condition. Vinyl is MINT-! Super-glossy, clean and without marks or some scratches. It obviously plays with no skips or sticks, no repeat clicks or loud obtrusive pops, with at most an inaudible, very light, fine marking, which is almost lost in the wonderful original brilliance of this masterpiece . Both labels on the LP are free of any signs of wear and look absolutely like new/freshly printed. Apparently it's only been played with care a couple of times. The all-important long, quiet 'heartbeat' intro to track A1 is nice and quiet, no crackle and a great start to a big, punchy 1st press sound when played on Clearaudio with Ortofon M2 Black turntable with Wilson Audio Speakers, that continues as it starts throughout the two sides. No factory skip on track B1 Money. The 1st press 'midnight blue' tinted sleeve with large purple sticker is Mint - with very light signs of handling and storage. Both Light matte finish posters have no tears, folds, tape marks or pin holes MINT-! Both postcard stickers are unused MINT-! The black poly-lined inner has no splits and the lining is fully intact Mint - A fantastic set overall! . This is certainly one of the best preserved copies ever for sale on EBay.
