Description

For sale is a very rare first pressing of dark side of the moon. This is the SOLID BLUE TRIANGLE with A2 B2 matrix number endings.

I have sat and carefully viewed and listened to the record. Unfortunately I did not have enough photo space where I can show all of the record and cover photos so please message for the others if interested. Please read full detail below!!!

The cover

The cover has no splits or tears. The bottom edge shows only a few very light and minor rubs. Top edge shows some light rubbing on the front opening top edge and a few rubs on the back edge. The spine is strong with very little wear seen at all. Spine is crisp and extremely presentable. Corners show some light rubbing. Front and back have some light wear but overall very presentable. Inside of the cover is also very clean. The front opening sleeve has come unstuck but just needs regluing. The back sleeve on the inside left has a few pen marks near the opening edge but only seen when sleeve is opened and checked.

The black inner sleeve has the sticker stick on centre as shown. That side also has a few small marks as seen in the picture but cause very little issue.

The labels

Side 1 has some very light spindle wear but otherwise clean crisp and presentable

Side 2 a few small very light marks and the letters TJ and a small amount oF pen around he centre hole. Otherwise there are no scuffs and still very presentable

The vinyl has been checked very carefully and I would visually grade as excellent to excellent+. Under very bright light I can see no visible surface wear and on close inspection only a few extremely light marks. I had to really check to see these and they are not noticeable on just looking at the record. The vinyl is very clean and retains its glossy finish. I have listened to the record throughout and the report is as follows

Side 1

Track 1 begins with some crackle/static but disappears as the instruments come in. The record from this point on plays extremely well throughout with minimal noise heard when listening very carefully. Great gig in the sky plays great and through the quiet parts I couldn’t hear any distractions. The side fades out quietly with no noticeable noise that I could hear

Side 2

The side begins with a little static/crackle but quickly disappears. Money plays brilliantly and unlike some from this pressing THERE IS NO SKIP I repeat there is no skip through money! Us and them there is some crackling and a few very light pops heard to start with but noise is very minimal and causes little interference. This disappears and as the track plays and then plays great throughout. Brain damage plays very well and eclipse plays extremely well and the record plays out well. There are roughly 5-8 very light pops that can be heard on the play out but cause minimal distraction.

I would grade the audio as excellent to be cautious

This is a great copy of this record and plays very very well! I’m having second thoughts selling it but it needs to go to a loving home
