Pink Floyd ?– The Dark Side Of The Moon
March 1973 - Early UK First Issue - Original & complete1973 first UK issue, with A2 B2 run-out matrices, and Solid Blue Triangle labels. Side One - SHVL-804 A2 GP 1 (First Mother, 16th stamper - this is early - and you can tell)
Side Two - SHVL 804 B2 RM 2 (Second Mother, 24th stamper, fantastic audio)
Top audio, dynamics and separation... a truly brilliant sounding record. For me, this is the quintessential pressing of this Pink Floyd masterpiece. Better than any MFSL, UHQR or Japanese pressing, the UHQR is sharp, and very nice, but the first Two UK masters, are just tonally perfect for this album.
Midnight Blue gate-fold sleeve (non laminated), with NO hype sticker, both pockets open, name on inside the mouth of the open pockets - see pics (The true form of this release is no hype sticker - the hype sticker was EMI's compromise, and also at their insistence) NM I have taken a picture of the Midnight Blue gate-fold sleeve, next to an Original UK Black gate-fold sleeve, so you can see the difference.
It can be very hard to tell without a reference point to compare. (the last picture)
Complete with Two posters (Original, SHVL 804 on band poster, bottom RH corner, wide border, low gloss - NM) and Two stickers (Original, "Permanent" backings, unique to some 1st, and very few 2nd issues NM),
Original Black, poly lined inner sleeve, with patent numbers, no splits or tears - NM Superb labels, minimal signs of use, the spindle hole is unworn and nicely centered on both labels (best appreciated when spinning on your turntable, because on these issues, un-centered labels are annoying)
The vinyl is in Near Mint condition, very few light sleeve removal lines under direct light, deep black vinyl with great shine, superb audio.
The labels are in fantastic condition, no writing, very clean, minimal signs of use, with a clean and unworn spindle hole....
The spindle holes have been punched dead centre on both labels, which is not normal, these are notoriously pressed with wandering, offset labels, often leaving a part of the Black spot marking the centre of the label, exposed and looking ugly around the centre of the label. Also, it looks better spinning on the turntable when punched dead centre... a small and not often considered little detail.
The constant audio is brilliant....
The vinyl record has not been played much, the dynamics are still top notch, the stereo image / separation is well defined, the audio is crisp & sharp. I currently have Three of these listed, and this is not only the most revealing One of the Three, it is the most revealing One that I have ever offered for sale.

The gate-fold cover is NM (Original, Midnight Blue, no hype, *name inside pockets)

Insurance on the package is recommended.
Will be well packed, with record outside both of the sleeves, in a new transit poly inner, well stiffened, no movement, and double boxed.
