Description

Item offered by: FM247 Music Store, 15A Cromer Road, Sheringham, Norfolk NR26 8AB.

It will hurt to see this one go! Some classic LPs are over-rated but not this. 'Us & Them' is one of the most moving pieces ever recorded, in my humble opinion, and it's so sad to lose Rick Wright, its creator.

First presses of this LP "book" at £300 in Rare Record Guide so I am taking a huge risk in listing at 99p with no reserve...

First presses are distinguished by the solid blue triangle on the label. This one plays as an EX but I would grade at VG plus as there are a few visible marks under light (NO SCRATCHES - just paper cuts, so to speak). Matrices are SHVL 804 A-2 & B-2. Labels in lovely condition with very little spidle wear. Comes in plain polythene-lined die-cut inner sleeve. Has band poster (EX) & pyramids poster (EX) but is lacking the stickers - these are relatively commonplace though and it is the labels that set this apart as a first press. Gatefold sleeve is also opening at one side only, consistent with first press. Sleeve has some ringwear and edge wear but nothing serious - it is a solid VG and doesn't let the item down.

Happy bidding!
