Offered here is a genuine original 1977 UK first pressing LP of Animals by Pink Floyd, released on Harvest Records (SHVL 815).
Recorded at Britannia Row Studios in London and self-produced by the band, Pink Floyd's concept masterpiece takes direct inspiration from George Orwell's Animal Farm. Featuring Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason, the album is driven by sweeping synth passages, razor-sharp guitar solos, and biting social commentary across progressive rock epics Dogs, Pigs (Three Different Ones), and Sheep.
This genuine UK first issue features the earliest A-2U / B-2U matrix stampers. Housed in its original gatefold sleeve featuring Hipgnosis' landmark Battersea Power Station cover photography, complete with the original rounded card lyric inner sleeve.
