Item:

Pink Floyd - Animals  EMI UK ORIGINAL LP

Description:

Animals is the eighth studio album by English rock group Pink Floyd. Released in January 1977, Animals is a concept album that provides a scathing critique of the social-political conditions of 1970s Britain, and presents a marked change in musical style from their earlier work. Not something we see very often especially in as STUNNING condition as this.

THE LABELS

ORIGINAL ISSUE HARVEST LABELS WHICH ARE NEAR MINT WITH A SMALL AMOUNT OF SPINDLE WEAR ON SIDE 2 ONLY.

The matt gatefold sleeve with extra wide spine was made and printed in the uk by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. This gatefold sleeve looks amazing and is in very near perfect condition with barely any signs of handling or wear at all.

The extra wide spine is straight strong and true with all text very clear and easy to read, being very fussy there are just very small light traces of rubbing at the corner tips. A little like the sleeves on original copies of "Led Zeppelin II",Pink floyds "Animals" has usually suffered a similiar fate.Great condition sleeves for this LP come up rarely.

This album cover has always been kept inside a thick plastic protective cover so the top and bottom and opening edges are in really superb condition with barely any traces of storage wear at all. The front and back and inside gatefold are in brilliant wear free condition and look as good as new. This matt gatefold cover basically looks as good as the day of print and like the vinyl it too will also not disappoint in any way.   The only thing that lets this Wonderfull sleeve down is the original owner has marked the inside with his date of purchase . (Gaz 5/2/77)

THE VINYL is  Absolutley STUNNING I WISH MY CAMERA COULD DO IT JUSTICE!

ABSOLUTELY IMMACULATE, NOT A MARK ON IT, AND EVEN UNDER STRONG LIGHT IT IS HARD TO MAKE ANY THING OUT AT ALL, PERHAPS THE ODD WISP LINE FROM REMOVAL, BUT REALLY NOTHING. THIS IS ABOUT AS MINT AS YOU CAN GET

THE ENTIRE LP IS JUST IMMACULATE, JUST AS YOU WOULD HAVE RECEIVED IT BACK IN 1977 ON THE DAY OF PURCHASE

Condition:

BOTH THE SLEEVE AND VINYL ARE NEAR MINT (even Taking into account the original owners date).STUNNING!

Grading System: In order to assist everyone who buys and sells rare discs, Record Collector magazine has originated a set of standards for the condition of second-hand records, cassettes and CDs. We adhere as closly as possible to this grading standard. The seven standard condition categories, and a description of what each one means, are listed below:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD:The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
