Description
Hi, I've had a lot of interest in this item and so not being a collector and having limited knowledge I have been asked to add more photos and to check certain numbers etc. I've revised the listing and am putting all this info onto the listing. If you need any other info please get in touch.
Pink Floyd Animals LP
Stereo SHVL 815
UK press
I believe this to be a January 1977 pressing.
The matrix numbers are SHVL 815 A-2U B-3U
Cat No SHVL 815
I believe it has the important features which distinguish these from later, less desirable pressings. I have tried to picture them but again I am no expert, this was my fathers from new and I am selling it for him.
Also the cover I believe is called a gatefold with only one opening at the rear, and the front is folded over with a flap (only found on 1st issues? see picture)
Purchased from new and initially only ever played a few times.
Wide spined Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold cover with 7701 under the harvest logo (I believe this to mean 1977 and 01 being January?)
This is complete with the original lyric thick card record sleeve in reasonable condition.
As I say, I am only writing down what people have asked me about this record and have had to do research to find out the terminology. It is in no way mint and I have not described it as such. I do not own a record player and so can't comment on how it plays. There are no visible big scratches, It could do with a clean or wipe but I don't want to do it in case I ruin it!
If any other info is needed please let me know, also, if you need other pictures please get in touch.
I have other records for sale too!
