READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality.

They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute.

Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

Pink Floyd 1979 LP The Wall First-Day First Pressing A1 Plates All 4 Sides, VG+/EX!

Although not a NM copy, this vinyl is still in very nice condition.  Earliest plates.  As collectors know, this album sold in the millions.

That means that you can sift through literally millions of copies of “The Wall” before you find one that has all four 1A plates.

It’s that rare.

Vinyl--- VG+/VG+.  EX/EX.  First LP has a handful of light scratches only!  None are feelable, most are only visible under a bright light source.  Second LP is just a half-grade below NM.  Beautiful set!

Plates--- 1AB/1AB.  TML-S/TML-M machine-stamped on each side respectively.

1AM/1AA.  TML-M/TML-X machine-stamped on each side respectively.

Definitely the rare first-day pressing.

Cover--- VG+.  Cover has yellowed uniformly over the decades, some light dirtwear, but there are NO SPLIT SEAMS.

Gatefold--- VG+.  Gatefold also has some yellowing, not as pronounced as the front and back covers.  Graphics are still bold and punchy.  NO CENTER SEAM SPLITS.

Labels--- NM/NM. EX/NM.  All 4 labels look freshly-printed, however, the Side 2 label has a few extremely light, wispy spindle marks.

Inner Sleeves--- VG/VG.  Both sleeves have yellowed a little from the decades.  Sleeve 1 has seam splits up to 3 inches long.  Sleeve 2 has a bottom center seam split about ¼-inch long.  The other two seams are split up to 2 inches long.

Generic inner sleeves will be provided, so as not to further damage your original inner sleeves en route.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
