Phish "Lawn Boy" on Absolute A Go Go RARE VINYL

Hello Phish fans. In honor of the band's return to the road, here's a holy grail to brighten your day. This is the extremely rare LP version of Phish's "Lawn Boy" on Absolute A Go Go Records, released in 1990. The lead out grooves are hand etched with the following:  AGO 1992-A-B, the initials RJ, the numbers 29120(3) and a stamp that says Mastered By Trutone.

As you may already know, only 1,000 copies of this were pressed before the label went bankrupt. Phish lore has it that 500 were sold at shows and retail and 500 were set aside for promotional purposes. This is from the promotional stack, hence the punch hole in the upper right-hand corner. When I started writing about music, this was the very first promo LP mailed to me and was for a show at a little club that held no more than 100 people. As I recall, I was only able to write a paragraph about the show -- I mean, who in the hell was this Phish band? -- so I only listened to the first song to make sure they didn't suck. 

That's right. It is virtually unplayed. It has traveled a few miles, however, and both the inner and outer sleeves show typical wear. The jacket's corners are slightly bent, the bottom of the jacket is worn in one spot but not split. The inner sleeve has splits on all three sides, the longest around 3 1/2 inches, the smallest around 1 1/2 inches.

If the winning bidder would like me to professionally clean it and treat it with LAST record preservative, I will (for no charge, of course). This is a simple, very geeky process that involves cleaning mold residues left behind by the stamper, and the preservative is well known for preventing wear and tear.

I prefer not to ship overseas, but can possibly be swayed by begging. Be aware, however, that overseas shipping will cost more than $3. The winning bidder may also ask about alternative payment options. I don't know why you'd want to return it, but I do not take returns. It will be packed just like the online vinyl retailers pack, with a couple of cardboard shock absorbers on each side, and I'll hold off shipping until the money is in my bank account. No offense meant, but I've had a couple of bad experiences.

I Googled like crazy to dig up what this record has sold for in the past and picked what I think is a fair reserve, one that's well below the higher prices. Good luck.
