Welcome to this auction, and thank you for your time and interest here. This auction is for the box set of the glorious music of Phil Spector, titled "Back to Mono," and released by Abkco in 1992 on 5 records. All of the timeless and classic hits are here, as well as Phil's Christmas masterpiece. Starting with the box, this is near mint, with some light rubbing in the middle of the left side of the front. It is otherwise mint, with no splits, writing, bumped corners, dents, or punctures. The book is mint in every way, while the sleeves are all near mint, although every one has a small split on the bottom, which in no case is more than an inch. The sleeve of record three has a split on one side, but no other flaws need to be noted about the sleeves. This set was always in a smoke and pet free home, so no unpleasant odors should be noted. The labels on all 5 records are mint in every way, with no flaws to note. The records all come in a most playable, fresh, and bright condition, with no major surface damage to be seen. Keep in mind that I am far from an expert in grading records, but expect for some light scratches scuffs here and there, they all look great. I listened to them all before listing, which was far from an unpleasant experience, and the flaws featured are as follows: Record One/Side A- Perfect, with no flaws audible upon listening. Record One/Side B- The final song, Today I Met the Boy I'm Gonna Marry, has a skip on the saxophone part at the end of the song, but this side is otherwise perfect, with no flaws. Record Two/Side A- Perfect, with no skips or other flaws. Record Two/Side B- Also perfect, this side has no flaws in playing to note. Record Three/Side A- Except for a skip at the end of on You, Baby, (the final song) this side is flawless. Record Three/Side B- There is a slight tinny sound in the middle of Unchained Melody, but this quickly ceases, and no other flaws will be heard. Record Four/Side A- River Deep has a skip at the end, but this is the last song, and every other song on this side plays without flaw. Record Four/Side B- This side is perfect, with no flaws Christmas Gift For You- Side A and B play perfectly, with no flaws to either side. You are guaranteed to be pleased with these records, and despite its very few skips in playing, especially considering the hours of music in this set, it will provide for a most wonderful listening experience. You are sure to enjoy these classic tunes very much, so feel free to see the pictures below.
