The Peter Gabriel "So" Classic Records PG 7-45 Box Set is a very rare sold out limited edition vinyl record collection featuring the iconic artist's music. US limited edition 9-track Quiex SV 200g super vinyl LP, heavyweight die-cut gatefold picture sleeve with integral full colour lyric/credit booklet & picture inner.
Standard black vinyl records use carbon black as a coloring additive. This additive contains trace metals that can become magnetized over time, creating subtle electrical distortions during playback. Clarity records were pressed using an additive-free, clear vinyl formula to eliminate this issue, which many audiophiles reported resulted in cleaner, clearer sound.
SV-P records were pressed on heavyweight 200-gram vinyl and eliminated the "groove guard," the raised outer edge that protects the grooves on most records. Without a groove guard, the record can lie flatter on the turntable platter.
Clarity SV-P records that were cut at 45 revolutions per minute (RPM) allowed for wider groove spacing, which reduces distortion and improves high-frequency response.
