Description
This is a near mint condition, very rare, white label LP test pressing Peter Gabriel "Security". It was manufactured by Allied Record Company for Geffen Records in 1982. Test pressings were made in advance of regular pressings for quality control purposes. They were very selectively distributed to record label V.I.P.s and the artist and their management for approval. Very few were produced and most copies were destroyed. They were never made available to the general public. The labels are white Allied Record Company. There is a sticker on each label with the following written on them: GHS-1-2011-Re-1-SH-2 8/26/82". The record comes in a white die-cut cardboard jacket. On the front of the jacket written in blue ink is"GHS 2011 Peter Gabriel". It has had one owner, a former record company executive who has had it filed away since 1982.
