Description

Vinyl pressing of Mr. Mozo Risin' (Another Musical Exposure Of The Forelock Man) by Peter Gabriel on the TKRWM label #1815. TKRWM stands for The Kornyfone Record for the Working Man. L.P. is 50 minutes long & tunes are: Me And My Teddy Bear 0:45, Perspective 4:15, Not One Of Us (Previously Unreleased) 3:50, Flotsam & Jetsam 4:30, Exposure 3:30, Humdrum 4:05, I Don't Remember 4:25, The Lamb Lies Down...5:45, Down The Line 6:10, White Shadow (A Very Strange One) 3:15 & Ain't That Peculiar 4:15. Recorded on stage in October 1978 at Stoneybrook University. On side two, cut three alive in Detroit 1977, cut four alive in Brighton 1977, last cut in Chicago 1979. The songs are a real hodge-podge: "Not One of Us" and "Family Snapshot" (as "Down the Line") appear as weird proto-versions (and declared as such by Gabriel to the crowd), "White Shadow" is almost unrecognizable, and a solo version of the "Lamb" title cut from his Genesis days clearly pleases the crowd. The sound quality is average mid-fi audience-mic level, although it's noticeably better on "Down the Line"; finally, "Humdrum" and a cover of the R&B standard "Ain't That Peculiar?" (which oddly presages the retro-futurist R&B of "Sledgehammer" and beyond) both sound like broadcast or soundboard recordings. These are liner notes: And now a cartful of players: Peter G. – voice, flute & piano, Larry “Mr. Synergy” Hast and Phil Aaberg on keyboards, Tony Levin on bass, Sidney McGinnis and Crimson and Killer on guitar, Timmy Capello on soul of his sax. At last The Doc make this one to desperate fans. Thanx to Robert for engineering, To my member for his help, To the Forelock Man Gnuvo for the cover to D.I.Y., To the young worker girlfriend and to all you. Tape from Mr. Brush collection. Edited by The Doc. It’s stereo; You know what it means ? Itsy Pitsy Teenie Weenie, Yellow Polka Not Bikini ! Boo Zoo ! The spelling & grammar are a bit off but this is the way it reads on the insert. Insert & vinyl are Near Mint.

( I ship on Saturdays. If you pay me after 1:30 p.m. on a Saturday, your l.p. will not be shipped until the next Saturday.)

Leave me feedback and I will return the courtesy. Delivery confirmation is a must and is worked into the cost of shipping. I accept Paypal only. Gold, precious stones and your first born can be negotiated. If paying by Paypal, payment is expected within 3 days unless other arrangements are made. Insurance will be provided upon request and is to be paid for by the customer. My overseas customers are very important to me and have given me a lot of support. However, I cannot be responsible for uninsured packages. I do pack well and in a professional manner with standard record mailers. I also place a cardboard support inside the mailer for protection and to help prevent any bending. Records are removed from their covers and both are placed in a protective, clear plastic outer sleeve. It's a tried and true method that has never been improved upon. I do offer refunds if the item you won is not as described. I ship every Saturday.
