Pete LaRoca on Blue Note 4205

 

This is the rare original Van Gelder-stamped mono “P”-pressing of Pete LaRoca “Basra” on the New York USA labels of Blue Note BLP 4205.  Other than a single inaudible scuff on Side 2, the playing surface is in new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once.  The coated New York 23 cover is bright and clean throughout; “Review Copy” stamped at the top of the back slick; the bottom seam shows light rubbing and 1/8” wear at the opening.
