Description
For auction is a very rare 4 TRAX 7" vinyl from Modernist Music ref - 001a.
There were only 400 of these pressed and it has become a much sought after record.
The four tracks on this record are: The Style Council - Sure is Sure. This was to be the Council's follow up single to 'Long Hot Summer 89', but instead it was rejected by Polydor along with the new album 'A Decade of Modernism'. The Jam - Heatwave (Recorded live at the Music Machine, London 12/12/80) Shane Macgowan of the Nips/Pogues guests on vocals for this track taken from a 'secret gig' celebrating Paul's parents wedding anniversary. Bruce Foxton - Smithers - Jones (Recorded live at The Lyceum, London 22/5/84) A reworked version of Bruce's most famous Jam song, often played as an encore during his solo career. The Paul Weller Movement - Work to Do (Recorded live at the Town and Country Club, London 5/12/90) Originally a minor hit in US for the Isley Brothers, Work to Do was played during most of Paul's first solo tour of Europe and the UK.
Cover is VG+ (see photos. a few bends in the paper but otherwise OK)
Vinyl is VG (plays fine but there are a few scuffs on the beginning of side 1 creating slight crackling noises but otherwise does not affect play)
RECORDS ARE GRADED BY VISUAL INSPECTION AND ARE GRADED ON THE UK RECORD COLLECTORS GRADING SYSTEM AS BELOW:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover is pristine. All inserts are included and are in perfect condition. (Applies mainly to brand new items or sealed)
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
V.G +: The record will still be nice and shiny, but may visually have a few light marks/scuffs but will play well with occasional pop/click. Some wear and tear on the cover. (This will still be a decent playable copy).
V.G: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items without any major defects is acceptable.
NR MINT: Vinyl and cover are virtually like new. Possibly played very carefully one or two times at most.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.
FAIR: The record is just about playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise. It may even jump . The cover and contents will be torn stained and/or defaced.
PLEASE NOTE +/- may be used to indicate if item is slightly better or worse than the category of grade given.
