Description
This is a very good original U.K. pressing copy of the debut LP by John Lydon's post-Sex Pistols group Public Image Ltd., released in 1978. The debut is less fully realized than the group's next few LPs, and as such is somewhat hit and miss. Notable among the tracks in the former category is the single "Public Image," which leads things off. By general consensus, the record's closer, the disco parody "Fodderstompf," is its biggest miss (or at least its biggest slog, since being irritating seems to have been the group's intention for it). The jacket has light creasing along the spine and top seam, and light ring wear (EX). The disc has a modest amount of mostly wispy hairline scraping, a couple of small stains and dings, and some scuffing, and plays with crackling surface noise audible mostly between tracks and in the LP’s couple of quieter passages (VG+). The record comes with a custom inner sleeve (EX+).
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
