Description
PUBLIC IMAGE LTD. "Metal Box" TRIPLE L.P. in original metal film cannister. Original 1979 release on Virgin Records.
The entire package is present: three 12" records that play at 45 rpm; four circular paper inserts; one printed insert, printed in red ink; and the metal box itself, complete with "Metal 1" sticker at rear.
As with all known copies, the metal box has tarnished with age - the effect of exposure to atmosphere & nothing to do with storage/handling. (There are one or two pristine-looking copies floating around - these have been resprayed and are effectively fakes masquerading as unusually well-preserved originals).
Vinyl is bright with a few slight marks - minor only & not a serious flaw. I've played several sides - there is a touch of slight surface noise here & there - consistent with being carefully played over the years. Used but definitely not abused.
Circular inserts show some minor signs of handling. Printed insert has some slight edge-creasing and is slightly soiled.
Single owner copy, bought brand new back in the day.
