Description
This is my EX / EX original UK copy of MIGHTY BABY - "MIGHTY BABY", released in 1969 on HEAD Records - HDLS.6002 in STEREO. The non-laminated sleeve has stood the test of time well with no loss of colour to the beautiful images (back & front)and no signs of ring-wear at all. The spine has lost some black as you can see, but the Mighty Baby and Head info.are still readable. It is also still sturdy. There is an area on the top edge of the sleeve, next to the Mighty Baby words, which has lost a very thin line of black. This could be corrected easily if you so wish. The edges in the black show some very light, tiny white 'cracks' in the black, appearing around the edges as you look at the sleeve head on. The actual edge of the sleeve shows very light wear, but all four sides are generally in good shape, particularly where the record goes in and out, which is like new! So a nice sleeve as you can see from the picture. The disc plays really well with very little noise in the quietest bits - the bits between the tracks. What is remmarkable is that the yellow Head labels show spindle marks, but these 'plays' must have been done very carefully as there is no noise and not even any wear to the spindle hole on either side of the disc. The vinyl shows one or two marks but again nothing that spoils play. A nice but played copy, one that I have had proudly in my collection but now it is time to pass it on! ONE OF THE CLASSICS.
