Description
This is a VG / EX copy of this hard to find, UK VINYL LP by GORDON JACKSON - "THINKING BACK", released on MARMALADE Records - 608 012 in 1969. It is an original pressing with the beautiful MARMALADE labels. Gordon has the likes of TRAFFIC and members of MIGHTY BABY as guests on this RARE solo effort. The disc is in great shape, looking very shiny and un-used. On Side one there are a couple of very light 'withdrawl' marks, otherwise perfect, Side two has a couple of light surface marks, but nothing you can see unless you grade under intense light! The record plays beautifully, with no jumps, bumps or clicks, with just the usual light 'noise' in the quiet bits, the dust from years of storage! The sleeve looks fine, but shows signs of wear. It has a shine to the card, but is not 'laminated' in the true 'EMI' sense of the word, so we get the usual problems. There is a sticker removal mark at the top r/h corner of the front sleeve. This is has been coloured to disguise the resulting white under card, and I feel it would be worth doing again, with todays available materials, a much better job could be achieved. The spine and bottom of the sleeve show signs of colour loss, but the spine is readable, though it looks 'tired'. Near the removal mark there is also some creasing, but I have to say, not thatbad, it has just lightly outlined the shape of the disc for an inch or two. There is a single light crease on the front cover bottom l/h side of the front and also one on the back cover, but neither detract from the 'look' of the sleeve. This is a nice copy of this much sought after LP from GORDON JAKSON.
