We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.
TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS: We are happy to hold orders to save on shipping. Please pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and, if you request, we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel.

Pearls Before Swine's last LP for Warner/Reprise album released in 1971. Filled with rapturous Tom Rapp originals, plus a beautiful cover of Leonard Cohen's ''Bird On A Wire.'' There is a dark angel's purity in these songs and all of them are of a piece musically and philosophically linked with all of the others.
There are superb tracks here, highlighted by the plaintive Butterflies (beautiful), and the lovely Freedom.
"Beautiful Lies You Could Live With" has a more orthodox folk rock sound than earlier Pearls Before Swine records, with electric guitars and drums more prominent. It also contains several of Tom Rapp's most beautiful and evocative songs, such as "Snow Queen", together with "Island Lady." The album concludes with a brief setting of A.E. Housman's poem, "Epitaph on an Army of Mercenaries", sung by Rapp's wife Elisabeth who collaborates throughout the album.

CONDITION:
The cover: Really hard to find clean with the white cover usually found with dirt and soil after some 40 years ...this copy "EX" (excellent) clean with only light age around the edges,small corer bump is nly minor and doesn't detract...the seams are strong and the whole cover is crisp and solid. No split seams, no writing and no fraying anywhere. A nice keeper collectible.
The vinyl: all glossy clear M- both sides are very clean...the white promo labels are both clean....
