If you are looking for great REEL TO REEL tapes ADD US TO YOUR FAVORITES LIST! We specialize in HIGH QUALITY open reel recordings of music, personality interviews, old radio shows and more.
Tape speed is usually 15ips but we also sell recordings at 7.5ips, 3.75ips and occasionally 30ips.
Every tape has been checked for quality. Most of the tapes are in near perfect condition but If there's a problem, we'll tell you. You won't have to "guess" about what you are getting. Our goal is for YOU to be happy with your purchase. If we make a mistake there's no need to get angry. TELL US ABOUT IT. If it's humanly possible, we will fix the problem to YOUR satisfaction!
Where possible, we combine shipping charges. We will hold Items won for up to 10 days to combine shipping but the items MUST be paid for when they are won. We will deduct the overpayment of shipping charges from the invoice as you pay for each item or group of items. Up for sale are these 7.5ips, 2 track stereo, MASTER TAPES of various songs, used by a company called "House Of Music," to prepare Programmed Music reels for radio stations to broadcast in the overnight hours when they did not need DJ's to spin records. These particular tapes were generally used by "Easy Listening" stations around the country because it was far easier and less expensive to have tapes running all night with only an engineer to stop & start the tape machine and do the commercial inserts.

Each tape includes songs by famous individual recording artists interspersed with songs by various choral groups similar to The Ray Conniff Singers or The Johnny Mann singers.

The balance of the tape has various choral groups.

The music is of uniformly high quality on this tape and the sound is really amazing!
Each tape runs for approximately 90 minutes (in one direction only) at 7.5ips and comes in the eco-pack box as shown in the picture. You can choose to listen to the tapes as is or erase them and record your own music on them.

THE PRICE LISTED IS FOR ONE TAPE ONLY. NOT THE ENTIRE GROUP.

All of the programs are recorded on Ampex 407 tape. These tapes have been properly de-hydrated and will play perfectly when you get them. You may find a little shedding on rewind but the tapes will not stick or shed in playback. Like all Ampex 407 tapes, they will need to be "baked" again sometime in the future. How soon depends a lot on the climate where you live. A warm damp climate will require baking sooner and cold dry one will require baking later. It's that simple. Each roll comes with original leader at the head & tail of the reel. There is a 1kHz tone at the head of each reel. Some tapes may have splices.
