PROF. WOLFFF 's/t' LP (Germany, Second Battle, Catalogue #SB LP 076) Brand new/unplayed copy of superior Second Battle LP edition of 1972 Heavy Progressive Rock album by German band Prof. Wolfff. Gatefold cover with insert.

'Prof. Wolfff lived a short and intensive life in the early 70s, as part of the Krautrock adventure - with gigs all over Germany and a TV performance at the 'Talentschuppen' (ARD - first German channel). The band unexpectedly split in March 1972, shortly after producing their first album Prof. Wolfff, which was released in 1972 by Metronome. Along with Ihre Kinder and Ton, Steine, Scherben, an important political rock band from Berlin, Prof. Wolfff was one of the first progressive rock bands in Germany exclusively singing German rock songs, even before Udo Lindenberg released his first 'German' album. As a result, other musicians were inspired to compose rock songs using German language.'

'An obscure Berlin heavy rock band, featuring Helmut Binzer who later went on to Metropolis. Little else is known about them. Prof. Wolfff had an aggressive heavy rock style with lots of psychedelic and progressive touches, fronted by guitars and organ, typical of the era they had a very German sound, akin to Ainigma, Frumpy and early Jane.
