PROCOL HARUM
GRAND HOTEL
1973 UK GREEN CHRYSALIS CHR-1037 (A2-B2)
+MEGA-RARE ORIGINAL PRESS PACK+
This auction isn't really about the album, in fact if the winning bidder does not want the album included then the postage will be much less. This auction is all about the mega-rare 100% complete original 1973 'Grand Hotel' press pack in leather zipper case. The contents of which are: 1 bar of sealed soap, 25 page note-pad, biro, door key holder, do not disturb door knob sign, 30 silver-head matches in original box and a felt pouch, all items are complete and in really excellent condition, these items are now 35 years old and so the biro ink has obviously dried up over time even though the pen has never actually been used.
This must be one of the bands rarest items of memorabilia, just try and find another 100% complete original 'Procol Harum-Grand Hotel press-pack' in this condition.
GRAND HOTEL PRESS PACK = EX (100% COMPLETE)
This mega-rare original 'Grand Hotel' press pack is in really excellent condition and is still 100% complete.
The black leather zipper case is in superb condition, all 30 silver-head matches are unused and all 25 sheets of note paper are still attached and are also unused, the bar of soap is still sealed in it's original plastic, the do not disturb door knob hanger is excellent with some light bending, as already mentioned the biro has never been used but does not work as the ink has dried up over time, the felt pouch and key-holder are just about perfect.
It will definitely be a very long time before another one of these mega-rare promo press-packs turn up in this condition again, and it will be even longer before one turns up 100% complete with all 30 matches unused and all memo-pad pages unused and the bar of soap still sealed.
VINYL & GATEFOLD COVER = EX
The vinyl grades EX, both sides have a great original sheen with just a few very light wispy hairlines, both sides play great with some light crackle and a few sporadic light tics. The Robor gatefold sleeve also grades EX with minimal wear and marking. The 24 page art/lyric book is in very good condition, there is some creasing and some minor age spotting but no rips or bad marks.
