on the brandie records label, not sure when this one came out. 12 tracks. full title: the backbone of america is a mule and cotton. awesome outsider blues/folk here from the genius one man band that is abner jay. this is the cover variation with abner drinking water from the swanee river, which the back liner notes state that he drinks a gallon of it a day....maybe it was cleaner when this lp came out. cover is VG, with about a 1" split in upper right seam at opening, and a couple sticker removal tears: one in upper right (below "foster center"); the other is below where it says "brandie records" in lower right. neither of these tears are too obvious, as they blend in with the cover photo quite well. also has numbers written next to song titles on cover, which are also difficult to see. vinyl looks VG, with a couple marks that look worse than they play, it play grades a solid VG+, with just occasional light noise....still a very nice copy of a rare record. vinyl has been cleaned on a VPI. check out my other auctions for more private press goodies: including metal; psych; folk; xian and others. all records are original pressings unless noted otherwise. all records are shipped in dedicated record mailers, with cardboard inserts. email with any questions. i accept paypal and money orders only. buyer pays shipping. $5.00 priority shipping within the US. $5.00 airmail to CANADA. $11.00 airmail to EUROPE. $14.00 airmail to JAPAN and AUSTRALIA. please note that i will not ship surface overseas. thanks for looking and good luck.
