From Minneapolis, Prince's Around The World In A Day remains one of his boldest left turns qnd the psychedelic follow-up to Purple Rain that traded stadium bombast for kaleidoscopic whimsy. Four decades on, it's been newly remastered in stereo, restoring the vivid swirl of sound that defined his mid-80s peak. The record spun off four singles - 'Raspberry Beret', 'Paisley Park', 'Pop Life' and 'America' - each being a portal into Prince's restless imagination. The deluxe edition goes deeper, gathering long versions and remixes that capture his appetite for reinvention, including a 22-minute stretch of 'America' that turns funk into hypnosis protest. It's a reminder of how far ahead he always was, even at his most playful.
