Details:- Here we have one of the rarest and most desirable albums of the British psychedelic era S.F.Sorrow by Pretty Things. This is the ultra rare mono first press. It comes in the original fully laminated gatefold sleeve and original EMI inner.

Condition. The vinyl is in a strong EX condition with deep shine. I have test played the whole album at high volume and can state the sound quality is fantastic. The mono mix on this album, considered by many to be superior to the stereo, is clear crisp and strong. Of the whole album I only noted 4 soft brief clicks on track 5 and 2 on track 6. That's it. The record has had very little play!

The labels are in M- condition. I can barely spot any spindle marks at all. Please take a look at the very clear photos.

The sleeve is EX- and has no writing, marks or tears. The only noticeable fault is a small area at the top corner of the spine where the laminate has rubbed off. I have photographed this clearly. There are some light laminate creases on the front and back but these are very minor. Both front and back are clean and unmarked, the laminate has an as new sheen.

This album seldom comes up for sale and rarely in such barely played condition as this. Don't miss your chance!

Recorded at Abbey Road Studios over a period of many months, this is the Pretty Things' psychedelic masterpiece. S.F. Sorrow is also the first rock opera. Based on a short story by Phil May, this song cycle tells the tale of Sebastian Sorrow from birth through love, war, tragedy, madness and the disillusionment of old age. Experimenting with the hallucinogens and the newest sound technology of the day (often on gadgets and techniques being devised right there by Abbey Road's technicians) the Pretty Things and Norman Smith produced a stunning piece of work. Arguably the best album to come out of the entire British psychedelic era.
