THE POWER OF THE ORCHESTRA –
Rca VCS-2659 –
SD 5s/7s –
TAS –
RARE & STUNNING!
Of all the TAS picks for excellent sound in the Rca catalog, I tell you, this one featuring Leibowitz at the helm of the RPO is one of the most spectacular.
Why, is easy to answer:
Dynamics and utter presence as this 110-instrument barrage of sound delivers A NIGHT ON BARE MOUNTAIN and PICTURES AT AN EXHIBITION in a way guaranteed to re-arrange your listening room furniture.
Cover has just a touch of edge on a corner (nothing at all serious) and a stain on back that has not deteriorated the board. Shaded-dog platter should play near mint. Just one small mark of little consequence.
For some audiophiles, this is the LP they’d take to that desert island if they were allowed but one.
For other fine records, TAS picks and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.
Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $16 via airmail for the first LP, $4 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
